Very much looked forward to capturing this last phenomenal event but not the English weather. Got there 47 hours prior on Tuesday, before 5pm. Needed to secure my spot and relieve my friend who had camped out from Sunday! A huge thank you. We were Group 2, Number 2. At premieres she’s always first in the queue, not this time though, 5 Canadians and 1 Minnesotan had arrived a week earlier and been camping in the Square. They organised the fan queuing system and did a great job. Over 400 campers from all over the world were there and by early morning Wednesday grew to thousands. Wristbands were given after 10am and we were let into the pens after 11am. The place was jam packed, 8,000 special wristbands were given, security ran out and had to turn people away.
The sun shone just before the stars walked the red carpet and the pushing, shoving was really bad, so excuse the shakiness. The cast signed loads and thanked the thousands of fans for turning up in the rain, many were emotional, crying at the end it was an unforgettable premiere with the longest red carpet in the world I believe!
